PRACTICE AREAS
A native of Vallejo, Mr. Caretti has practiced law in Solano County since 1979.  Prior to that he was a manager on the tax staff of the largest firm of Certified Public Accountants  in the world.  He has been and remains active in many professional and community organizations. He is admitted to all the courts of the State of California and to the U.S. District Court (Northern District of California), and to the U.S. Tax Court.  His civil practice is concentrated in the following areas:

Probate, Wills and Trusts:  Administration of decedents' estates through court or private proceedings.  Drafting wills, trusts and other estate planning documents. Representation in probate and trust disputes.

Taxation:   Estate, gift and income tax planning; wealth preservation. Representation of clients before the Internal Revenue Service in tax audits and disputes.

Business and Commercial:  Formation of business entities, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions.

Real Estate:  Negotiation of purchase and sales agreements, leases and tax-deferred exchanges.

Elder Law: Asset preservation planning for the elderly.
