Carol A. Sobczak
Carol A. Sobczak has been working with Favaro, Lavezzo, Gill, Caretti & Heppell since 2008. Ms. Sobczak is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and California, and worked from 1988 through 1997 for one of Chicago's major firms and thereafter for two of San Francisco's largest law firms. Her practice is concentrated in probate, wills, and trusts; taxation, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning and planning for charitable gifts; and business and commercial matters, with a focus on succession planning for family businesses and business formations.
Ms. Sobczak acts as a reporter for the American Bar Association's Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Section at the annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning sponsored by the University of Miami. She has also been certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. Ms. Sobczak is admitted to all courts in the State of California.
